Software Engineer II (Android) — Skyscanner
London, UK
- Led development of high-impact homepage features, including Recent Searches — the app's second most-used feature, reaching 3.8M monthly active users.
- Piloted an AI-assisted programme to accelerate Android-to-iOS onboarding, and contributed to the first plug-in built for the new iOS homescreen.
- Re-architected the Android homepage plugin system and shipped Pills Persistence across the flights funnel, reducing state inconsistencies and improving navigation reliability.
- Shipped pricing-transparency features — Total Cost, Hotels Indicative Pricing, and enhanced Direct Flights filtering — improving result accuracy and cutting user friction.
- Designed, implemented and analysed A/B experiments across multiple surfaces, partnering with data science on statistically valid decisions.

- Designed and implemented automated UI test suites using Selenium WebDriver with C# and .NET.
- Developed an Azure extension in TypeScript, automating test-run reporting via email.

- Winner, GamesFleadh (RoboCode) — national Irish Java programming competition, as part of an undergraduate team from DkIT.

PROJECTS
- MSc Project — a student response system built with Flutter/Dart and a custom Express.js BFF, orchestrating GitLab API calls so instructors could create and distribute programming questions in real time.
- Gullivar (ERASMUS) — an Android review-aggregator app built with Ionic and MongoDB, using a hybrid HTML/JS/CSS frontend.
- Genius (ERASMUS) — cross-platform Android applications built with Cordova, backed by MongoDB.
